Metso Outotec is bringing some of its technology to North America, thanks to an agreement with an unnamed partner.
The value of the incoming order is an estimated $72 million (€50 million) and will include copper solvent extraction and electrowinning technology, as part of Metso’s VSF (vertical smooth flow) package. The package will include advisory services for mechanical installation and commissioning, start-up and spare parts as well.
“We are looking forward to working on this project, which will be an important reference for Metso Outotec in North America’s growing copper market,” said Mikko Rantaharju, VP hydrometallurgy at Metso Outotec.
