The British Columbia-based company is working on a project that uses the hydrometallurgical Re-2Ox process to recover metals from lithium-ion, nickel-hydride and nickel-cadmium batteries.
The Mining Association of Canada says the total 10-year projected value of $82 billion for new projects remains nearly 50% below the 2014 level of $160 billion.
The Canadian company said new target areas are along the same lithium pegmatite trend as Ganfeng and International Lithium Corporation’s Avalonia project.
